Tether USDT
Tether (USDT) is the leading stablecoin in the global cryptocurrency market, widely recognized for its dominant trading volume. It was founded in California in July 2014 by Brock Pierce, Reeve Collins, and Craig Sellars, and launched in October of that same year.
Tether was designed to offer a digital asset tethered directly to the US dollar, and subsequently other fiat currencies, providing traders and investors a way to mitigate the volatility typically associated with cryptocurrencies.
USDT operates across various blockchain networks and can be transferred via interoperable swaps or exchanges. Initially released on the Bitcoin network in 2014, it later expanded to other digital ecosystems and consistently ranked among the top three cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
